Soul Sonic Deejays

DJ's H the Hype & Sookie teamed up after discovering they played a similar kind of funk/breaks/house-crossover and started a monthly party called 'Soulsonic', to give their unique blend a home. And they never looked back since, really.

Soon they moved to big venues and 'Soulsonic' (which over time, became the name of the duo as well) has now residencies at Verkadefabriek, Cordes (Den Bosch), Effenaar (Eindhoven), 013, Studio Tilburg & Theater De NWE Vorst (Tilburg) and already made many appearances at Supernatural, CitySounds and Groovetube parties, playing together with DJ's like King Britt, DJ Deep, Rainer Truby & Spiritual South. They also played the huge Extrema Outdoor festival, even appearing on their video! Together with live-percussionists and a horn section SoulSonic were last years' headliner at Jazz In Duketown as well, with thousands of traditional jazz-fans going apeshit to their funky brew of nu-jazz, breaks, house, latin & afro, blended together into a fresh and energizing cocktail.
