Worth buying alone for the lead track ‘The Approaching Target’ and it’s swirling hammond and wah wah led mid tempo perfection. The rest of the LP goes between up tempo vocal soul and gut bustin funk instrumentals, all played with a deep understanding of the genre and tightly produced to give that authentic sound. Yet another band that we’re gonna have to get to play at Jelly Jazz sometime!
