The Soul Snatchers zijn het geesteskind van Ton van der Kolk en Tim van der Holst. Uit Dordrecht. Schratch My Itch is na Sniffin’ and Snatchin’ (uit 2008) het tweede album van The Soul Snatchers. Sniffin’ And Scratchin’ (Social Beats) Although this has apparently been around a little while, we haven’t seen it in the UK (at least I haven’t, and I’m meant to be on top of it all!).
After two killer 45 releases so far, this Dutch Funk outfit have delivered a superb album, and so I’m not surprised that they are so rated. I’ve not had the honour of seeing them live yet but, although it sounds like it was recorded in the vintage way (on tape) the production is actually very modern sounding. Read more…
