In August ’12 The Jazzinvaders spent some days in the studio with Hammond legend Dr. Lonnie Smith. During this session over 10 tracks were recorded. The new Jazzinvaders album ft. Dr. Lonnie Smith will be released early 2013 on Unique Records.

Sometimes opportunity knocks and one has to act with great speed and without reservations. In this case there was a need to visit the Doctor and the outcome of the visit was a nice recipe for a new Jazzinvaders album. The Doctor being none other then the wonderful Dr Lonnie Smith, King of the Hammond Sound and star of the early Blue Note label. The annual Jazz meeting in Rotterdam was a great success. Once more a great opportunity for The Dutch Nu-Jazz Movement to promote itself. With members of State of Monc, The Jazzinvaders and Scallymatic Orchestra being present, we received very good feedback on the upcoming album by Scallymatic Orchestra ft Soul Mack and lots of people seemed to enjoy the live performances by The Jazzinvaders (live at Radio 6 as well as their successful showcase later that night). Jazzdag 2012 Rotterdam
Vrijdag 22 juni zal The Dutch Nu-Jazz Movement samen met Music & More aanwezig zijn op de jaarlijkse Jazzdag welke gehouden gaat worden in Lantaren Venster. In de hal treft u ons aan met een gezamelijke stand. Wilt u meer weten over de Dutch Nu-Jazz Movement of bij Music & More aangesloten acts, aarzel dan niet onze stand te bezoeken. Uiteraard zijn er ook de hele dag allerlei showcases aan de gang. 1 daarvan zal worden verzorgd door The Jazzinvaders, tussen 22:30 – 23:00u kunt u deze band aan het werk zien en horen in de foyer van Lantaren Venster. ‘s Middags kunt u ze ook al live gaan zien wanneer ze te gast zijn bij Mijke’s Middag op Radio 6 dat voor de gelegenheid uit zal zenden live vanaf locatie.
Jazzinvaders Album 4
It will take a little while but you should know that recently The Jazzinvaders started recording their fourth album. As always, The Jazzinvaders are keen to explore new musical territories so at this moment in time, it is kinda hard to tell which direction they’ll be heading. One thing is for sure, the boys and girl are enjoying the process to the fullest and will come up with some great harmonies, grooves and lovely melody-lines which, put together will be a feast for the listener once more!
Dutch Jazzdag presents The Jazzinvaders
Friday June 22nd, the Dutch annual Jazzdag meeting will take place once more at LantarenVenster in Rotterdam. Besides workshops, meetings and discussions there will be lots of bands showcasing at several locations. This year – member of The Dutch Nu-Jazz Movement – The Jazzinvaders have been selected to do a showcase. Entrance is free so there’s no excuse not to be there! Check the complete line-up here.

Here’s some news from the Jazzinvaders HQ. As The Invaders keep exploring the universe they decided to re- record some tunes from their third album Blow! This time you can actually see the band perform in a studio setting. Performing live is the ultimate way of doing what they’d like doing most. If you would like to come and check the band out, live on stage, keep an eye on the upcoming calendar. Right now The Jazzinvaders are working on a new project but that is still work in progress, it’s gonna be something else (yet again). We will keep you posted! Meanwhile enjoy the new movies.
The Jazzinvaders – Electrix (Rmx Album)
Lately The Jazzinvaders had some very succesful gigs abroad: at the Jazzahead fair in Bremen, the Burghausen Jazz festival and at various other places in Germany and Austria. The past few weeks The Jazzinvaders have been touring The Netherlands, doing a few major Jazz festivals such as the ‘Jazz in Duketown’ and ‘The Hague Jazz’ amongst others.
Meanwhile the band is preparing for a new remix album based on their recent album ’3′. No further details on that one yet, apart for the title: ‘EL3CTRIC’. We’ll keep you posted on the subject, in any case the release itself is sceduled for September.
The Jazzinvaders & Germany
In 2011 The Jazzinvaders will focus on Germany. Their newest album ’3′ was recently released and the band is now aiming for many clubs and festival gigs. Their first German gig will be at the legendary Jazzclub in Minden on February 19th followed by gigs in Wels, Burghausen, Bremen and Dortmunt. The band will also be showcasing at the annual Jazzahead fair in April.
Meanwhile the bands latest material is being remixed by producers like Diesler (UK), MopMop (Ger), CSPR (NL), MOTO (NL) and Graham B. (UK). The release of the remix EP is scheduled for March.
