On june 4th, Mezz Breda kicks off with a new club night that goes by the name: Jazz Attack. Goal of this new clubnight is to present today’s ultra groovy and danceable jazz bands in a ‘poppy atmosphere’. Initiated by JazzImpuls, DNJM is presenting its 4 bands in three concerts at Jazzimpuls Groove Night at Pakhuis de Zwijger in Amsterdam. After the Flowriders last Februari and State of Monc and Jesse van Ruller last March, tomorrow -wednesday May 27th- both Monsieur Dubois and The Jazzinvaders will play. Before, inbetween and after the gigs, DJs Pat & Inna Vision will play their special tunes. Bands start at 21h00.
There’s a new DNJM album coming. All four bands create two tracks. 4 x 2 = 8 + remixes = a new album, to be released this autumn. A great deal of the tracks were recorded at Vincent Helbers’ Flowriders Studio in Amsterdam. This studio combines vintage machines & techniques like a state of the art SSL mixing console combined with tape recording (Studer), with high end modern equipment. State of Monc recorded their contribution to the album last week and… the sound is amazing! This studio is definitely worth a visit. Check it out.
Monsieur Dubois and Flowriders will [perform at the upcoming IJazz festival in Amsterdam. This colorful festival brings you 3 days of jazz and crossover in a very relaxed atmosphere and features many national and international artists such as Incognito, Oleta Adams, The All Star Jazz Crusaders, Kyteman, Zuco 103, Sabrina Starke and Benjamin Herman.
