Friday October 5th and Saturday October 6th, the best of Dutch jazz and world music will present itself in inspiring showcase performances at the Amsterdam Conservatory, the Bimhuis and the Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ. It’s the second edition of the largest b2b showcase and networking event in the Netherlands for jazz and world music professionals, attended by internationally renowned delegates: festival directors, presenters, promoters, booking agencies and media representatives.
Two distinguished, independent programmers: Michelle Kuypers (North Sea Jazz, Mojo) and Wim Westerveld (Music Meeting, Chazz) selected 26 Dutch jazz and world acts, who will present themselves in short concerts to national and international music professionals and general public.
Besides being a showcase festival, the 2012 Dutch Jazz & World Meeting is also a conference, with keynote speakers, pannel discussions and a trade fair where Dutch impresarios, bookers, and acts will present themselves. The official opening of DJWM 2012 is on Friday morning, with the first keynote speaker.
